complaints.

career counselling; strategic planning and organization development.
- Extensive experience in research, development and facilitation of
training programs covering a wide variety of human resource issues such
as conflict resolution; effective supervision; teamwork development;
grievance/arbitration; discipline; employee benefits; performance
evaluation issues, etc.
- Chief spokesperson for several collective agreement negotiations
(public and private), including a 'first contract' agreement that
was celebrated with a party attended by both union and management
officials illustrating the success of non-adversarial bargaining.
- Proven sensitivity and awareness to current workplace issues including
being considered a leading educator in the area of Harassment. Involvement
includes training investigators how-to investigate; writing and
critiquing policies on harassment; conducting public and in-house
workshops in Harassment Awareness; Harassment Investigation; Harassment
Resolution techniques; appearing in newspapers, magazines, on radio
and TV shows and at numerous public speaking events.
- Experienced Chairperson for a variety of workplace committees including,
Professional Development; Labour/Management; Workplace Health and
Safety; Pay Equity; Grievance, etc. Demonstrated ability to conduct
effective problem-solving meetings while promoting and maintaining
good working relationships between union and management.
- Responsible for providing labour relations advice to resolve workplace
problems in various organizations including 20 provincial government
departments. Able to resolve 90% of grievances prior to proceeding
to arbitration by establishing and maintaining positive working
relationships with union representatives.
