A leader in dealing with conflict in the workplace

• Investigator Training

The objective of the Harassment Investigation course is for participants to become familiar with all areas of conducting a complete and thorough harassment investigation from start to finish. Particular attention is paid to understanding the sources of potential pitfalls before they happen, and crafting a practice that eliminates as many as possible.

Participants will practice investigation skills, share their experiences with others in the session, and broaden their perspectives. Upon completion of the course participants will have the knowledge to conduct investigations as well as have the ability to create an investigative process to follow in their workplace (or improve on an existing one).

This training is best suited for Harassment Investigators, Harassment Advisors, Human Resource Staff – all levels, Managers and Supervisors – all levels, Union Representatives, in-house Legal, Loss Prevention personnel, anyone tasked to investigate all forms of workplace violations and key leadership staff. Participants do not need to have prior investigation experience to attend. The Harassment Investigation workshops are also available privately should you wish to host the training for your group in-house.

The program is offered in Levels One through Three:

Level One: 3 days

Level One and Two: 6 days. Prior attendance in Level One is required before proceeding to Level Two, however Level Two can be taken separately and is a three day program

Level Three: For graduates of our Level One and Two program. This specialized training is offered to smaller groups on an as requested basis.

• Investigations

Do you need someone to take a closer, unbiased look at harassment complaints in your organization?
Hill Advisory Services can help if:

  • The complaint is at the high end of the harassment scale (i.e. assault/sexual assault/stalking)
  • The complaint could have political consequences for the company or the internal investigator
  • The complaint is complex; involves several complainants, respondents or spans several years
  • Perception of some bias or conflict is evident with the people involved.

• E Learning

Harassment Awareness and Prevention training in a classroom setting has been the typical approach to delivering information for many years. We are convinced there is a better way. As such, we have developed a stand alone e-learning solution to deliver the message of a Respectful Workplace in a time and cost efficient manner.

Some highlights include:

  • Five case studies in live action, using professional actors
  • Quiz to aid with employee retention
  • Contents are completely Canadian based
  • The program is designed to be tailored to reflect your company’s policy, logo and the provincial human rights legislation.

• Executive Coaching
